Edwin Ka Teddi Mellencamp Shares Prayers About Children After Divorce
Teddy Mellencampwhose husband, Edwin Arroyavesent a private message on social media after the news of the two’s divorce went public.
Arroyave, 47, shared a series of passages from several Bible verses that highlight children and parenting on Monday, November 4, via her Instagram Story. Arroyave and Mellencamp, 43, have three children: Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, 4. (He’s also the father of daughter Isabella, whom he adopted from a previous relationship.)
“As parents, you have the power to speak life or death to your children and grandchildren,” we read the highlighted verse in Proverbs 18:21. “When you choose to speak the Word of God over your children, you choose to speak life over them.”
He also revealed a part found in Romans 12:2 saying: “My children are not like this system of things, but they are constantly being transformed by the renewing of their minds, so that they may know what is the will of God, which is good, lovely, and perfect.” God for their lives.”
In the following story, Arroyave posted a full page of verses including Psalm 127:3, 1 Corinthians 6:18-19, Exodus 20:12, Daniel 1:4 and more.

Arroyave did not provide further comment on the quotes, but the timing of the messages comes shortly after he and Mellencamp made headlines for their split.
Us Weekly confirmed that Mellencamp filed for divorce on Friday, November 1. According to court documents obtained by Usi Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum listed their breakup date as October 20.
Four days later, on October 24, Mellencamp and Arroyave attended the Cure Melanoma Gala in New York City together. Mellencamp, who has undergone 16 melanoma surgeries in the past 16 years, was the emcee for the event, and Arroyave beamed at how proud she was of him.
“I always say that life and pain are inseparable,” he wrote on Instagram. “Seeing @teddimellencamp embrace her pain and use it for the best last night as she accepted the @curemelanoma gala, was a great reminder of what she’s capable of. His story has already saved lives. And I couldn’t be prouder that he will continue to save more.”
