Joe Rogan argued that the media establishment that was once friendly to President-elect Donald Trump has since engaged in “years” of psy-op to convince the American people that he is dangerous.
“The Joe Rogan Experience” is one of the most popular podcasts in the world, and Rogan is considered one of the key players in the 2024 election, interviewing Trump and then accepting his bid for president at the 11th hour. The broadcaster has since mocked the media for losing their credibility with voters and alienating liberals like him.
On Thursday’s episode, with comedians Shane Gillis, Mark Normans, and Ari Shaffir, Rogan recalled how entertainment and media personalities have been friendly to Trump, playing clips from his 2012 appearance on “The View” where he was cheered on, and when he entered -Oprah also asked him about running for president.
Since then, “The View” has become a common apocalyptic source about Trump, and Oprah has rubbed him while campaigning with Vice President Kamala Harris. Rogan argued that Trump’s shift in tone was shocking in retrospect, “What we’ve seen is the biggest media psy-op in history.”

The podcast host continued to appreciate legacy media.
“What you see with Trump, regardless of his flaws, is a very focused mindset,” Rogan said. “They’ve distorted who he is so that a lot of people think that. A lot of people think that. They’ve had a narrative.”
“What’s a psy-op? I keep hearing that,” Normand said.
“It’s mental,” Rogan explained. “When they decided to distort people’s opinions about things.”
Shaffir responded that old liberals are shocked to learn that former President Obama was responsible for more deportations than Trump. “They go, ‘That doesn’t make sense.’ And then say, ‘Okay, focus on what gives you real world,'” he said.

JOE ROGAN CONGRATULATIONS TO DONALD TRUMP ON ELECTION NIGHT
Rogan then turned to his producer, Jamie, and asked him to show a “wild” quote from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton from 2008 in which she was “saying some kind of MAGA s—” about “immigrants who are illegal.”
Clinton could be heard on the recording declaring, “I think we should have tougher conditions. Tell people to come out of the shadows. If they commit a crime, deport them, no questions asked.”
“He’s a Republican,” Shaffir joked.
On the record, Clinton continued, “If they were working and obeying the law, we should be saying, ‘Here are the conditions for residency. You have to pay a stiff fine because you came here illegally. You have to pay taxes and you have to try to learn English and you have to wait in line.’
Delegates have expressed shock at Clinton’s past comments.
“‘You’ve got to wait in line,’ and everybody’s happy,” Rogan said. “2008. Hillary Clinton was more MAGA than Trump. But what about that? More MAGA than Trump. It’s all f—ing fake. It’s all fake. the exact same things.”

Rogan said that this election shows that the situation has changed.
“They have been in control of the media until now. This election was the first time they could no longer control the media,” said Rogan.
When asked why this, the podcaster replied, “Because of us, because of podcasts. Because of social media, because of X.”
