Bill Maher says ‘my head is not exploding’ over Trump’s RFK Jr nomination. of HHS: ‘We need to be shaken up’

“Real Time” host Bill Maher appeared open-minded about President-elect Trump’s nominees for Health and Human Services.

Maher began his interview with the doctor and author Dr. Casey Means on how people have been “surprised” about Trump touching Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to lead the health policies of the state.

“Well, the system as it is, the way we do health care, it’s already f—ed,” Maher said Friday night. “So maybe he’ll make it worse. But, like, my head won’t explode.”

Means told Maher that he believes Election Day shows that Americans want to address “this chronic disease epidemic” and that RFK Jr. he is someone who is willing to take it.

The HBO star pointed to Kennedy’s recent comments insisting he would not ban vaccines.

“If you want them, you have them. It’s not going to be approved. I think that’s what a lot of people were against before,” Maher said. “I’ve said it many times. There are viruses that if they roam around I will fight to find a vaccine. And there are others that I don’t want like them. one we just had.”

It means that the US is “the sickest of the top 11 high-income countries in the world” and that the life expectancy of an American male is 73 years, which he notes is ten years lower than Japan and Switzerland.

“This is something we should all be angry about,” Means told Maher. “And only one party in our election cycle this year was talking about chronic illness. The words ‘chronic illness,’ as far as I know, never came out of the mouth of the Harris campaign. And I think that was a real mistake because the American people, I think, are tired of being burned that there is no problem right now .”

“And Trump has asked RFK to do three simple things. He has been asked to root out corruption in US health care institutions, implement consistent, evidence-based research into our health guidelines, and reverse the trend of the chronic disease epidemic in two years. Children and adults so we can be seen celebrating the anniversary “The American 250 is stronger than ever and that sounds good to me,” he added.

Maher, however, appeared highly skeptical that Trump would stick to his campaign promises.

“Trust me, the first time Trump gets a call from a big scumbag in the pharmaceutical industry and says, ‘Hey, you’re dealing with my profits, Trump can easily undo all of this,'” Maher said.

He remains optimistic, suggesting that the president-elect “has been shown the light from RFK about the magnitude of America’s health epidemic, and it has affected him deeply.”

“If you want to say that you are a crazy person – of course you said you are crazy s—. Of course you said that you are crazy, but we need to be shaken,” said Maher later.

Kennedy endorsed Trump after suspending his presidential campaign, became one of Trump’s most prominent leaders and included the “MAHA” (Make America Healthy Again) movement in his voter turnout argument.
