ImportantYellowstone‘s Cole Hauser shares details on how the show’s cast will move on from Kevin CostnerJohn Dutton’s character.
“I think the year is about to pick up pieces and move on,” said actor Rip Wheeler Entertainment Tonight in an interview published on Tuesday, November 5. “Find out how you lose so much to John Dutton and come together as a family and as a unit, and understand what happened. There are just so many different pieces that move Taylor [Sheridan, cocreator] You did a great job and you’re really smart.”
“Everyone has their own time to deal with loss and how to move on,” Hauser, 49, added.
Costner announced his departure Yellowstone in June after months of speculation about whether he would appear in the upcoming season 5B. The Paramount Network’s final episodes will premiere on Sunday, November 10, after a long delay. The first half of season 5 ended in January 2023.
“I just want to extend my hand and let you know that after this long year and a half of work The horizon and doing all the necessary things, and thinking about them Yellowstonethat’s a popular series that I love and I know you love it,” Costner said in a video shared by X in June.
He continued, “I just realized that I can’t continue in season 5B or in the future. It was something that really changed me. I loved it. And I know you loved it. According to Yellowstonesaid Hauser Entertainment Tonight that he can’t talk much about how the show will end, but he hopes the fans will be satisfied.

While Paramount announced in May 2023 that season 5 will be YellowstoneFinally, in August, there were many reports that the drama may return for a sixth season. It was reported at the time that Hauser and costar Kelly Reillywho plays Beth Dutton, were negotiating new deals to return and were close to signing on the dotted line.
