Matt Hobby he will reprise his role as Pastor Jeff in the February episode Georgie & Mandy’s First Wedding. In accordance with TVLineJeff steps in to play mediator after Mary (Zoe Perry) and Audrey (Rachel Bay Jones) when they start competing for the love of their granddaughter.
“I don’t know if he’s doing well, but he’s really trying [mediate],” producer Steve Holland he told the newspaper on Wednesday, December 4. “Mary and Audrey are at odds, they don’t see eye to eye, and that’s an interesting thing that we haven’t yet explored.”
Holland teased a “really fun episode,” adding, “When we broke that story, it also seemed like a great opportunity to bring Matt Hobby back.” It was a lot of fun to be with him, and a lot of fun to put on [those characters] in front of an audience and find little Reverend Jeff sprinkled into our lives again.”

The Big Bang Theory created the franchise after broadcasting from 2007 to 2019. The series is joined by a prequel titled Young Sheldonwhich had a star Iain Armitage in the role of a smart kid growing up in Texas. The universe became even bigger with Sheldon’s older brother, Georgie (Montana Jordan), scoring a spinoff with Mandy (Emily Osment).

YouTubeJones, 55, who plays Mandy’s mother in the current CBS series, previously told Us Weekly about Annie Potts and Perry’s multiple appearances in season 1 – including whether there were plans for more returns.
“I love them all, and definitely [are] come back. We just shot and wrapped episode five, and a bunch [Young Sheldon] academics were there for that,” he teased in October about Perry and Potts, who play Mary and Meemaw, respectively. “We did a thanksgiving episode with everyone and it was heaven.”

Jones expressed his hope that the actors from The Big Bang Theory the franchise continues to show interest in returning to the screen.
“If Meemaw and Audrey could get into it, that would make me very happy because I love Annie Potts more than anyone in the world,” he continued. “It would be great fun to continue playing with him. And we were promised their presence since it’s a small town, so you can’t run away from all those residents.”
Georgie & Mandy’s First Wedding airs on CBS Thursdays at 8 pm ET. Episodes are available to stream on Paramount+ the following day.
