Delta first class passenger tries Shake Shack’s newly launched in-flight meal, social media users react

The recently announced partnership between Shake Shack and Delta Air Lines has officially begun and is now under review.

A Reddit user took to the field to share a photo of the food that was officially unveiled on Dec. 1 for first class passengers from Boston.

The image shows the fast food chain’s base burger and additional toppings, including lettuce and tomato, as well as a side of Caesar salad and a brownie.

Instead of the classic Shake Shack crinkle fries, the burger dish comes with a bag of chips — a more appropriate side than trying to reheat fries mid-flight.

A Reddit user captioned the photo, “It’s not like regular stores, but it’s still pretty cool!”

The image started a conversation online as some users shared their thoughts on the launch.

Some question the burger’s authenticity, questioning whether it’s actually a Shake Shack or a different burger with the chain’s logo on it.

“I’ve never had an old cheeseburger, but it tastes like Shake Shack,” responded the first user.

Some seemed skeptical based on the way the food was presented on the plane.

“Is this a good post or a bad post? I’m asking because that burger looks really unattractive and if I were the manager of Shake Shack I’d be pissed that [company’s] the product is launched and delivered,” said another user.

“It was delicious! The burger looked a little torn when it came out but before I put on the toppings,” replied the first poster.

Instead of paying for a first-class seat with the option of choosing a burger, several users decided it would be cheaper to buy a burger at the airport and take it on the plane.

“I’ll just buy this s— before boarding. It will at least come with fries,” one user wrote.

The burger available on the plane is exactly the same as the Angus burger found in brick and mortar locations across the country.

In fact, this isn’t the first time an airline has brought a fast food burger to the skies.

“Fast food partnerships are not new [as] “United has partnered with McDonald’s and carts that are specially equipped to keep meat warm while cold items are kept cool,” Leff told Fox News Digital last month.
