DWTS Winner Joey Graziadei ‘Disappeared’ When The Result Was Announced
Dancing with the Stars season 33 winner Joey Graziadei he said he “disappeared” when his name was called.
Joey, 29, and a professional dance partner Jenna Johnson30, took home the Mirrorball Trophy on Tuesday, November 26, in the finals after beating 30 judges (Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba again Bruni Tonioli) with their cha-cha-cha program to Justin Timberlake‘s “You Can’t Stop the Feeling!” and an almost perfect 29 of their freestyle on the tune “Canned Heat” by District 78 and Jake Simpson.
Talking to Us Weekly after Tuesday’s live broadcast, the former Bachelor expressed his shock at the results.
“I don’t even know how I felt. I honestly blacked out,” said Joey Us. “I just remember [Jenna] screaming really, really hard. I remember hugging him.”
“I remember Val [Chmerkovskiy] I’m in,” she added, referring to last season’s winning dancer – and Jenna’s husband – who presented them with the trophy. “I remember this [trophy] it was harder than I thought it would be and that was about it. This is where we are now. And now we are here.”
On the other hand, Jenna said it was an honor to receive the Mirrorball Trophy from her husband, who won season 32 with the actor. Xochitl Gomez.
“[I felt] just lots of love and happiness. That was a special moment that I don’t think has ever happened before,” Jenna said of Val, 38. “A lot of people have told me that they have some of her hot videos and I can’t wait. see. He was my first supporter through this. You have been a mother and father to us right now as I prepare for this end. So I am very grateful for him.”
Jenna said her trophy would be “maybe [go] next to Val’s trophy” last season, and Joey revealed that he and his fiancee Kelsey Andersonasking him a question Qualifications Season 28, she recently moved to Los Angeles and plans to decorate their new apartment with her trophy.
“We just got a new apartment, so it’s our first little place that we have, so it’s going to be somewhere,” he said.
Joey became the first Bachelor to win DWTS On Tuesday night, however, when he received the trophy, he ran into his professional partner, who helped him reach the final.
“I feel like Jenna fully deserves this and it’s all because of her,” he said during a broadcast on Tuesday. “All in all, this whole experience was incredible.”
Earlier in the evening, judge Derek Hough praised Joey’s skills on the dance floor.
“Joey Graziadei, producer. “Joey is a natural player,” he said. “It is dynamic, dynamic and unmatched in music. Week after week he confidently handles complex choreography that shows an impressive range. “
