Jazz F Taylor Hendricks (leg) has season-ending surgery

Utah Jazz forward Taylor Hendricks underwent successful surgery at a Salt Lake City hospital on Wednesday for a broken right ligament and sprained ankle.
Hendricks was injured on a non-touchdown play midway through the third quarter of a 110-102 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Oct. 28. He lost his footing near the basket and landed on his right leg in an unnatural position.
Hendricks was carted off the field and will miss the rest of the season.
The second-year forward is averaging 4.7 points and 5.0 rebounds in three games (all starts) this season.
Hendricks was selected ninth overall in the 2023 draft out of UCF. He averaged 7.3 points and 4.6 rebounds in 40 games (23 starts).
The Jazz went 1-6 heading into Thursday’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks (1-6).
