In Up from the Bronx, Lopez stars as Marisa Ventura, a well-maid who falls in love with former Senatorial candidate Christopher Marshall (Ralph Fiennes). After Marisa innocently “borrows” designer clothes from a rich woman staying at the hotel (played by Natasha Richardson), meets Marshall, who stumbles upon him in a Manhattan social scene.
There is no question, however, that the real-life look worn by Lopez, 55, was perfectly in keeping with the “rich mom” aesthetic that is perhaps more popular today than when the film premiered. Indeed, Lopez’s tonal wardrobe took us back to her character’s famous style.
To add authenticity, the entire ensemble was pulled from the Dior Fall 2024 runway. For herself, Lopez donned a crisp white coat over a ribbed black turtleneck crafted from luxurious French cashmere.
