The new normal is back to it American life and that’s the title of the riff. Maybe it’s just me, but it seems that, just weeks after Donald Trump’s landslide victory, a new dimension is returning to American life. First, the sheer magnitude of his election victory has set in motion all the horrors predicted by so many in the media, especially the liberal media. Contrary to received wisdom, the election was decided that night. Not three weeks later, or a few months later, but that night.
There was no presidential recount. There is no violence. Mr. Trump won in a landslide – and that was that. It was an orderly, normal presidential election as well, despite the highly targeted name-calling Mr. Trump – called it the “fascist Hitler factor” – Mr. Trump and Mr. Biden sat down quietly in the Oval Office to plan a peaceful transition.

Biden looked his happiest in years. Think you voted for Trump? I agree. And then, this past weekend, Mr. Trump sitting next to First Lady Jill Biden at Notre Dame Cathedral looking cozy, both smiling. Meanwhile, in New York City, justice was served in the acquittal of ex-Marine Daniel Penny, when left-wing crazy DA Alvin Bragg was thrown back by a jury of our peers. Penny was a hero. He deserves an award and, in breaking news, the New York Police Department working with the FBI has arrested a suspect in the gruesome murder of medical director Brian Thompson.
I think the agents in New York and the FBI agents are very good at what they do if the politicians will let them do it. I think judges are more effective at what they do if politicians let them do it. Our constitution and our common law and criminal system, based on the jury system – something we got about 900 years ago in England’s Magna Carta – works best when depoliticized, but the system only works when we depoliticize it – without leaving it. -the use of weapons and law and other forms of manipulation.
Yes, I think that President Trump will restore our legal system to normal and then, if I can go back to the good work of restoring Notre Dame, I think that President Trump had an eye on restoring religion and normal culture in American society – maybe sending a message to Europe, too.

Liberal progressives don’t like religion. They want to remove God from our lives. They are religious fanatics, wrong. Yes, it is a free country, but that includes religious freedom. When Mr. When Trump went to the Al Smith dinner in October, he was talking not only about helping Catholic charities, but also about the importance of religion in our culture, our families, our communities and our country.
He won the Catholic vote by 20 points according to some exit polls. While in 2020, Joe Biden took the Catholic vote. Restoring the 800-year-old Notre Dame Cathedral itself was a reiteration of the importance of religious and spiritual culture. It was Al Smith’s dinner, spelled grand.
