Mary Cosby Says Son Robert Is ‘Doing Great’ After Leaving Rehab

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Mary Cosby Said his son Robert Jr. he is doing well after his stint in a substance abuse rehab facility.

“He went to rehab. He stayed for a month. He finished it. You have done an excellent job. He came out as a new person,” said Mary, 52, when she appeared on Wednesday, December 4, on Bravo’s page. Watch What Happens Live.

He confirmed that the wife of Robert Jr. Alexiana Cosby“He also went to rehab. And you know what? He’s still there.”

Mary said WWHL the host Andy Cohen that Robert Jr., 21, is “doing great. I am proud of him. I am proud of him.”

While Real Housewives known for its loud laughs and high drama, Mary and her son shared it really difficult moment together on November 27 in the franchise episode of Salt Lake City. Robert Jr., shared with her husband Robert Cosby, he opened up about substance abuse and mental health issues, explaining that he sometimes feels like “life is just being immature.”

“When I get high, it’s like adding spice to it,” he said as Mary listened to him with tears in his eyes.

Robert Jr. he said he was introduced to Xanax at a party, and he “started buying it. After that, I started doing Xanax with Acid by Molly with Xanax. I really like Xanax so I mix it with everything. Xanax and cocaine.”

Robert Jr. he continued, “Do you know the regular 30mg Oxys? I realized … this was, like, a turning point for me. I was taking 10 at a time and I couldn’t even feel it.”

Mary began to cry, telling her son that she would not “judge” him.

“I can try to help you but you have to help yourself because I will not support you,” he said while talking to the camera. “Do you accept that you have a problem?”

Robert Jr. he also told Mary that he “wanted to die” at some point in his life and that Mary was “the only reason” he didn’t kill himself.

“I just felt like I was black,” he said. “I just felt like this world is not good for me.”

That moment touched Bravo fans, including the actress Bridget Everettwho appeared as WWHL guest accompanying Mary on Wednesday.

“I felt like everything you said was right for him,” Everett, 52, told Mary. “He couldn’t have dreamed of better support.”

Cosby told Cohen, 56, and Everett that his conversation with Robert Jr. “It was not planned. … We just got together, Robert and I, and I said, ‘We’re going to do this because we’re going to help somebody.’”

“He didn’t plan what he was going to say and I didn’t plan. And I just said what I felt,” she added, crying as Cohen grabbed her hand.

Days before that RHOSLC broadcast episode, Mary provided an update to Robert Jr. while talking to Us Weekly only.

“He’s tough, which I think is good,” he said. “It is a difficult subject. But for me, because everything just happened to me at once, I didn’t expect it, but I’m taking it day by day.”
