A 25-year-old man, who was said to have died and was about to be cremated in India this week, was found by witnesses to be alive, according to reports.
Rohitash Kumar, 25, who was deaf and mute, was said to have died in a hospital in the state of Rajasthan in northwest India without an autopsy, according to The Times of India.
When it became clear that Kumar was alive when his body was cremated on Thursday afternoon, it was reported that his family took him back to the hospital where he died on Friday morning.

Three doctors involved in declaring Kumar dead at Bhagwan Das Khetan District Hospital have since been suspended, the newspaper reported.
Kumar suffered a seizure and was pronounced dead after lying on the floor while doctors performed CPR, the Daily Mail reported, citing AFP news agency.

“The situation was a miracle,” an eyewitness at the funeral told ETV Bharat. “We were all shocked. He was pronounced dead, but he was breathing and alive.”
Ramavtar Meena, a government official in Rajasthan’s Jhunjhunu district, called the incident “gross negligence.”

Action will be taken against those involved. The way doctors work will also be investigated,” he said.
Meena added that a committee has been formed to investigate the incident.
