In an electrifying game, the Phoenix Suns, fueled by Devin Booker’s near-double-double performance, defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 103-97 on Saturday night. Although they were behind at halftime, the Suns showed bravery, led by Booker, who finished with 28 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists.

Suns’ streak continues with fourth straight win

Kevin Durant added 21 points, contributing to the Suns’ fourth straight victory. The Suns showed their dominance, leading by 26 points, but the Trail Blazers fought back, reducing the margin to just two points in the final moments of the game. Clutch layups from Booker and Tyus Jones, who both sank free throws with 21 seconds left, sealed the win for the Suns.

Important Contributions from the Bench

Grayson Allen contributed 18 valuable points off the bench, including a team-high four three-pointers. Jones and Bradley Beal both scored 15 points, with Jusuf Nurkic leading the game in rebounding with 15 points.

Despite trailing 47-43 at halftime, the Suns exploded for 44 points in the third quarter, changed the script and built a 22-point lead at the end of the quarter. This incredible run was devoid of turnovers, a stark contrast to the nine committed in the first half, highlighting the Suns’ impressive turnaround.

Trail Blazers’ High Scores

Anfernee Simons and Jerami Grant were the leading scorers for the Trail Blazers, each with 20 points. Deni Avdija added 13 points, and former Sun player Deandre Ayton contributed a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds.

The key moment came when Jones’ 25-yard field goal put the Suns ahead, sparking a 26-4 run in the third quarter that ultimately decided the game. After shooting just 27% from the field in the first half, the Suns improved dramatically, hitting 61% of their shots in the third quarter, including an impressive 50% (9 of 18) from beyond the arc.
