RHOP’s Ashley Darby Files For Divorce From Estranged Husband Michael Darby

The Real Housewives of Potomac star Ashley Darby she has filed for divorce from her estranged husband, Michael Darby.

Ashley, 36, filed for divorce from Darby, 65, on Wednesday, November 20, according to Page Sixciting court documents.

Currently, TMZ quoted Michael, an Australian businessman, as saying the two reached a “peaceful and fair settlement” of their marriage. They reportedly decided to share custody of their sons Dean, 5, and Dylan, 3.

Ashley and Mark’s official split has been a long time coming. In April 2022, he confirmed that they had separated after eight years of marriage.

“We know there’s going to be a lot of speculation about why we made this decision,” he told Bravo. The Daily Dish at that time. “People would be quick to conclude that the causes were reality TV’s too much intrusion into the most personal parts of our lives, age gap issues, cultural issues, or parenting misunderstandings. Pieces of all of these may have influenced our pure love for each other, but there is no reason behind our mutual decision to go our separate ways.”

Ashley said only to Us Weekly November 2023 about how exes handle breakups.

“Right now we’re doing something called co-parenting,” Ashley said at the time. “I learned that word from TikTok, and yes, it works a lot.”

According to Ashley, shared parenting involves less interaction with your spouse than traditional parenting. “Actually, we only speak for the children, which I think is the best until we get to a better place personally,” he explained.

He told Us that his relationship with Michael had changed a lot.

“I really don’t know how he changed,” she said. “I don’t know where we were bad for each other. But something has changed.”

Ashley went on to admit that she was disappointed with the way things turned out between her and Michael despite their separation. “I loved this man very much,” he said Us. “To love someone for 11 years and not love them on these terms, is a big challenge. But that’s just life.”

He said he was still “in the water” of the divorce process, but eventually, “I’ll get there.” I don’t know when, but one step at a time.”

“I learned that maybe I should slow down a little bit, because when I like someone, I just dive in,” Ashley said later. “I’d say, ‘Hey, do you want me to do your laundry, cook for you? You want me to buy this for you?’ And I can’t do that.”
