‘Shazam!’ star Zachary Levi denies cancellation after Trump endorsement: ‘It’s still ahead’
“Shazam!” Star Zachary Levi said his endorsement of President-elect Donald Trump hasn’t affected his career on Bill Maher’s “Club Random” podcast on Sunday.
Levi revealed his presidential choice while moderating Trump’s event with presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and former Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard in Michigan in September.
“We’re going to take this country back. We’re going to make it great again, we’re going to make it healthy again. So I stand with Bobby and I stand with everyone who stands with President Trump,” Levi. said at the time. “Of the two options we have, and we only have two, President Trump is the man who can take us there.”
The Hollywood actor talked about Trump’s victory with Maher, who said that the Democrats “lost a crazy race to a crazy person.”

Zachary Levi stood by his support for Trump, arguing with host Bill Maher why he was better for America than a Biden-Harris presidency.
Levi argued that while Trump is not perfect, his years of success speak for themselves.
“I don’t think it’s a moral paradise,” he said. “There are a lot of details that one can add or take away from this discussion, but in general terms, the four years of his presidency were much better than the four years of the Biden-Harris presidency and vice president.”
He said during the Trump years, “Our border is more secure, our economy is more secure, crime rates are down.”
Levi also pushed back when Maher thought he had been canceled and lost his jobs because of Trump’s endorsement, saying it didn’t appear to be affecting his career.
“I mean, listen, I’m still going to see what the ramifications of all of this are going to be,” Levi told the talk show host. “I already had a lot of projects that I was in the process of shooting or that I haven’t shot yet and none of them have been interrupted.
“All of them like, none of my producers or the studios behind those films or projects have ever called and said, ‘Hey, listen, this line is too far and we’re not going to put the project together anymore.’ “We are all busy with those,” he said.
“How it will be played in the end, I don’t know.”

Levi added that he was busy in Eastern Europe working on a film and may have missed the retreat, but now, “I’m going to sit down with my team and we’re going to talk about it. Because I haven’t talked to him. Any of them might say, ‘Oh, listen, we’ve had sex with other people. and they don’t want to work with you anymore.’ I don’t know.”
“I could have sworn it happened,” Maher said, confused.
“No. I think it was because when I was doing the town hall with Tulsi and Bobby- So, I was basically holding Bobby back. I really wanted Bobby to be our guy,” Levi explained.
He also commented on how Maher stood against the extremism of the Democrats.

“You know, you’re like a lot of the old liberals who have been left in the dust of the left, and you’re like, ‘I didn’t move, I didn’t change, the boundaries changed,’ too. I think it was a very accurate representation not only of where you are but also of many other people, [Joe] Rogan is one of them,” said Levi.
Maher agreed and said to the left, “My thing with them is, ‘You’re crazy, you’re nutty s— and you have a f—– f—— attitude,’ and I just don’t. ‘kneel like these others people.”
