“My wife is taking care of a 5-week-old baby and I am taking care of a 2-week-old baby. And that’s not right,” said Mulaney. “That is not an equal distribution of labor. Mulaney also called out his children at the end of the show. “Goodnight Malcom, goodnight Méi,” he said, waving.
Mulaney and Munn welcomed their second child at birth after Munn’s battle with breast cancer.
“Méi June Mulaney came into the world on September 14, 2024, the year of the dragon🐉,” Munn, 44, wrote on Instagram on September 22. “I had so many deep feelings about not being able to carry my daughter. When I first met a woman who was pregnant, we talked to my mother and my mother. He showed me so much kindness and understanding, I knew I had found a real life angel. Words cannot express my gratitude for keeping our baby safe for 9 months and making our dreams come true.”
He continued, “I’m proud of my little plum, my little dragon for taking the journey to be with us. My heart is bursting. Méi (pronounced May) means plum in Chinese 梅💜.”
Munn revealed in March 2024 that she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023. She underwent five surgeries during her treatment, including a double mastectomy and a full hysterectomy.
“I had my uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries removed,” she told Vogue in May 2024. “Having a full hysterectomy was a big decision to make, but it was the best decision for me because I needed to be there for my family.”
The couple, who married in July, have been dating since 2021. A son, Malcolm, was born in November of that year.
