Target sales of Taylor Swift’s new tour book, vinyl, CD
Target aims to draw in Swifties this coming holiday shopping weekend with a special book, vinyl and CD from Taylor Swift.
The retailer said it will sell Swift’s “The Eras Tour Book” exclusively in its physical stores on Black Friday and offer it on its app and website the following day. It also plans to make vinyl and CD versions of “The Victimized Poets’ Door: An Anthology” available following the same schedule.
Swift’s book is expected to give fans “behind-the-scenes footage of the making and performance of the Taylor Swift | Eras Tour, including never-before-seen photos and personal thoughts written by the singer,” Target said earlier this month. .
Meanwhile, the vinyls and CDs will mark the first time “The Tormented Poets’ Door: An Anthology” and its 35 tracks have been offered in physical form, the retailer said.

The 256-page book will carry a price tag of $39.99. The vinyl will run $59.99, while the CD will cost $17.99.
When reached for comment, the retailer said it could not share details on expected volumes.
The three product listings on Target’s website said they are “expected to sell out quickly,” a potential boon for the retailer during the holiday shopping season.
Target highlighted the Swift’s special release when the retailer held its third-quarter earnings call last week.
“While these options are sure to be at the top of Swifties’ wish lists, we have exciting options for everyone in the family, at unbeatable prices,” said Chief Merchandising Officer Rick Gomez.
Partnering with Swift on products “will be a traffic driver for our business during the important holiday season,” CEO Brian Cornell said.
In the third quarter, Target generated $25.67 billion in total revenue. Its adjusted earnings per share, meanwhile, came in at $1.85. Both were below Wall Street analysts’ expectations.

For the final quarter of the year, the retailer forecast “low comparable sales and GAAP and adjusted EPS of $1.85 to $2.45.”
The Wall Street Journal previously reported on Swift’s intended special release.
The launch of Swift’s “The Eras Tour Book” and “The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology” album at Target will come as the singer nears the end of her highly successful Eras Tour.
