The government is removing the mandatory registration of certain items under the chip sales monitoring system
The government has removed the mandatory registration of certain electronic integrated circuits under the chip import monitoring system.
Under the scheme, importers of these items will have to provide information in advance on the online import system and obtain a registration number by paying a certain amount of registration fee.
“The requirement for compulsory registration under the chip sale monitoring system has been suspended with immediate effect,” according to a notice from the director general of foreign trade (DGFT).
The materials included electronic integrated circuits, memories and amplifiers.
