Terrified customers after a car crashed into an Italian restaurant: video

Hilarious footage shows the moment a car crashed into a Georgian restaurant at the weekend while customers were enjoying their meal.
The owner of Fresca Trattoria, Lisa Myers, told FOX 5 Atlanta that a car crashed into her restaurant around 3 pm on Saturday.
The restaurant, located in Stone Mountain, Georgia, is very focused Italian food and at that time he was serving brunch.
The video shows a group of customers jumping from their seats and running away two seconds before the car crashes into the table.

Another surveillance camera recorded the car hitting the restaurant’s glass window and driving over empty tables and chairs.
No deaths or injuries were reported, although Myers said her daughter was nearly injured in the incident.
“The waitress, who might be my daughter, was standing [where the car crashed] like three minutes before the car came in,” the restaurant owner told FOX 5. “So, I’m glad that — everybody was fine.”

Myers also told FOX 5 that he’s not sure if insurance will cover all the damage, and joked that the restaurant has become the new “drive-thru.”
“We would appreciate it [customers],” Myers said. “We don’t know what this woman’s insurance is paying for and what’s not.”

On Sunday night, the restaurant posted on Facebook thanking members of the local community for supporting the business after the incident.
“The windows are closed, and the sky [sic] it’s cloudy, but we prefer to see the silver lining,” the post read. “No one was hurt, and the outpouring of well wishes from the community made us feel very grateful to be in Stone Mountain / Lilburn.”
