Israel is trying to capture some of Syria’s lands near the Golan Heights after opposition forces overthrew former President Bashar al-Assad.
With the fall of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s government, Israel is occupying much of Syria’s Golan Heights.
That move breaks a 50-year-old cease-fire agreement.
But Israel’s right-wing ministers say their country’s borders must go further – to Damascus.
So what are Israel’s plans in Syria?
