Tata Group is launching an advanced car dump in Pune

Tata group companies, Tata Motors and Tata International have opened a car recycling facility, called ‘Re.Wi.Re – Recycle with Respect,’ in Pune. The facility has the capacity to dismantle up to 21,000 passenger and commercial vehicles annually, covering all types.
Speaking at the launch, Girish Wagh, CEO of Tata Motors said “Tata Motors is at the forefront of shaping the future of transportation and is focused on partnering with customers to succeed by delivering standards through its products, services, and digital solutions.”
“Re.Wi.Re represents our commitment to creating a circular economy, using advanced recycling processes that not only extract maximum value from end-of-life vehicles but also contribute to our nation’s sustainability goals. Tata International has partnered with many international markets, and We are pleased to strengthen this long-standing relationship by adding a new chapter with Re.Wi.Re.” Wagh added.
The move is in line with India’s broader efforts to regulate vehicle recycling and better manage end-of-life vehicles. Rajeev Batra, CEO of TIVA, emphasized that the capacity of this recycling center is designed to deal with the growing volume of end-of-life vehicles in the country.
The Pune facility joins Tata Motors’ expanding Re.Wi.Re network, which includes similar facilities in Jaipur, Bhubaneswar, Surat, Chandigarh, and Delhi NCR. All facilities operate using a digital, paperless system, reflecting the company’s focus on innovation and sustainability in recycling practices.
