A holiday has become a staple of the Christmas season over the years, so it’s only natural that fans are eager to see the follow-up to the beloved film.
The 2006 rom-com follows Amanda (Cameron Diazand Iris (Kate Winslet) as they change houses to travel during the holidays. Trading her California life for Iris’ cottage, Amanda begins a romance with her host’s brother, Graham (Jude Law).
Iris, on the other hand, finds her love connection in the form of Jack Black‘s Miles, in addition to forming a sweet friendship with retired screenwriter Arthur (played by the late Eli Wallach).
Sequence of A holiday is currently not in the works, despite 2022 rumors that the original cast would reprise their roles for a second installment. However, some of the stars are down to get back into the festive spirit on the big screen.

“I think visiting those four – is it 20 years? Maybe 16 years. I’d like to see where they’re at. I’d like to see where they’ve been,” Law said in an interview in November 2024 Todaynoting that they just need an OK from the director Nancy Meyers.
“I am,” he told TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie. “You have to go in with everyone.”

Kate Winslet
After rumors spread of a second film in 2022, Winslet said People that online speculation was “the first” he had ever heard of any follow-up stories. “I promise you that no agent or representative or other first person has ever had a conversation with me about that,” he told the media in December 2022.

Regarding where his character, Graham, will be in 2024, he said, “I think Graham still has cardigans and glasses, and he’s studying. You’re probably worried about getting sick girls, aren’t you? The daughters will be 28, 29 years old.”

Said the Black Man Vanity Fair December 2023 how you like it A holiday it has become “a staple of the Christmas season.” He went on to joke that his Tenacious D partner, Kyle Gass“has the biggest holiday movie of all time,” as Grass had a small role in 2003 The Elf.

The director broke fans’ hearts when he shut down rumors of a sequel in December 2022. “So many DMs about this — I’m sorry but it’s not true ❤️,” he wrote along with a screenshot of news about the project that is not on Instagram.
